When should I transfer my domain?

Transfering your domain name only applies to clients that host their domain with a current/previous hosting provider. If your domain name is a new registration, then this does not apply to you.

We recommend your site be up and functional and any email accounts or email aliases be setup in advance on our servers before transferring your domain. This will ensure that your visitors will experience no interruption. Once you have fully tested your site and you are happy with how it operates and have configured your email accounts that is when you should transfer your domain.
